SINGLE REVIEW: BRAIN IN BOX
"It’s punchy in both lyrical content and sound, with some creative wordplay and hooky melodies. When a song is this fun to listen to, it’s particularly impressive that it is also so intentional and cutting with its words."
SINGLE REVIEW: BATTERY HEALTH
The sentiment of being constantly connected and unsure of who others really are. “Battery Health” forces you to really think about how separated yet connected we all are in the world today. The song is a somewhat brutal self-introspection of who we are on the inside."
WE ARE WAIVER WIRE.
Waiver Wire is a pop-punk quartet out of Worcester, MA, originally started in 2018 by founding members Josh McKelvie (vocals/rhythm guitar) and Jeremy Champlin (bass). After the pandemic brought the band to its knees and nearly destroyed it, they reemerged in 2021 with new members Zach Boyer (lead guitar) and Steve Gendall (drums) and picked up right where they left off, composing radio-ready earworms and performing them for live audiences throughout New England and beyond. The group released "Battery Health" in late 2021, the first effort from this new lineup and a follow up to debut EP "Hold Your Applause". "Wasted Time Well Spent" followed in November 2022, a 4-song set that saw this current lineup metastasizing into a formidable pop-punk force to be reckoned with. They've now returned with new single "Brain on the Box" released July 20, with new music on the horizon and a growing slate of shows for fall/winter 2023.
